IHG Hotels & Resorts has taken a significant step in the Middle East by signing a management agreement with Almuhaysin Group to introduce the Regent Hotel brand in Saudi Arabia.
Scheduled to open their debut property in Jeddah by mid-2024, Regent Jeddah will be occupy one of the most prestigious waterfront locations in the city, offering views of the Corniche and Jeddah’s Formula 1 racetrack. The hotel aims to set a new benchmark for contemporary ultra-luxury in Saudi Arabia.
The eagerly awaited Regent Jeddah will join the ranks of existing Regent properties in destinations such as Bali, Santa Monica, and Hong Kong.
The announcement comes off the heels of the successful opening of Carlton Cannes, A Regent Hotel, known for its elegance and grandeur, earning the title of the ‘Grande Dame’ of Cannes’ hotel scene.
The introduction of Regent in Saudi Arabia is aligned with the Kingdom’s ambitious Vision 2030 initiative, and aspires to offer trailblazing luxury experiences to the growing number of travellers visiting the Kingdom.

Regent Jeddah: what to expect
Regent Jeddah will boast approximately 182 rooms with stunning views of the Red Sea. This beachfront hotel will span 29 stories, inviting guests to indulge in an ultra-luxury hotel experience, curated with tasteful elegance and a touch of opulence. The hotel will feature five spacious penthouses, alluring corporate executives and Saudi guests seeking an unparalleled level of luxury and sophistication.
Regent Jeddah will house a 1,500 sqm spa by Raison d’Etre, renowned for their exceptional work with Six Senses Spa. Additionally, guests will have access to a 200 sqm health club, indoor and outdoor pools, and an array of exceptional epicurean experiences, including three concept eateries and a lounge.
Haitham Mattar, Managing Director of IHG Hotels & Resorts India, Middle East, and Africa, underscored the company’s focus on Saudi Arabia as a priority market in the Middle East.
He emphasized that the forthcoming opening of Regent Jeddah, in partnership with collaborator Almuhaysin Group, will usher in a new era of luxury hospitality in the Kingdom, catering to both domestic and international guests, as well as business travellers seeking the pinnacle of luxury experiences during their stay.

Presently, IHG operates 39 hotels across five brands in Saudi Arabia, including InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Staybridge Suites, and voco. The company’s ambitious expansion plans will see an additional 30 hotels opening within the next three to five years, further solidifying its presence in the Kingdom’s burgeoning hospitality landscape.
